Summary0001011: Music is gone after "The Lion's Den" quest
DescriptionBasically, music and location discovery sounds have recently stopped playing in my save. I've no idea what caused it.

Battle music can suddenly start working, but it'll always play until the song's end. That means it'll continue playing after the battle is over. No new music will start afterward.
Scripted music in companion quests, main quest sequences, and Ark Marketplace are the only other music I've found that will play.
Not sure if it helps at all, but it probably happened somewhere between Myrad Tower Farmer's Coast and Rockcrack while I explored and did Apotheosis Part I.

removemusic _00E_SilenceLongTransitionHighPriority suggested at ticket 0000983 solved the issue in my particular case.

The "default sound bug after MQ9" also seems to occurr in my (German) savegame.

What I noticed is that, after reloading the savegame, the music already fades out within a certain radius from the spot where you encounter the high ones on the island (save 210). This did not happen the first time when I got to the cutscene. Also the music sets back in, after attending the following meeting in the Sun Temple. Since everything from then on seemed as usual again (music in different areas worked as it should and also combat music was as usual), I tried to save this state (save 219). But after reloading the save, the music faded out again but this time permanently.

I experienced this as well sometime after finishing The Lions Den. It didn't happen immediately as far as I could tell, but at some point music just seemed to stop playing. Using the "removemusic _00E_SilenceLongTransitionHighPriority" console command fixed the problem for me.
