Hey :)

Trying to launch the game on a Steamdeck running Ubuntu nets me a quickly filling up swap which results in an unresponsive system.
The game is set to use 6 GByte of memory and i did a fresh boot with nothing else large running, don't think htop is large ^^', before trying to run the game.
Any ideas?

System info, if that matters:

Hello Bastet
which version are you using, Enderal or Enderal SE?
Unfortunately, none of us own a Steam deck and it was never for this developed by us (Steam itself has probably tested it once)

So unfortunately we can't offer you any technical help here, you could possibly ask for help via Steam or our Discord within the community.

PS: You are also welcome to write in the German section if that is your native language. (even if the English community is a bit larger)

Umm, the one Steam installs together with the TC. o.o

If it helps, my Skyrim.esm that comes with the TC is 112796671 in bytes and has the SHA256 806802d6c80b92bd1d17e21fd24deb2fc545657a16f784cd0b1faa4bafe9ab90.

No problem, maybe someone who got it working on Linux with the Steam version has a hint for me. :)

Enderal is now available in 2 versions on Steam:
- Enderal: Forgotten Stories for Skyrim (classic)
- or Enderal: Forgotten Stories (Special Edition) for Skyrim Special Edition (the more stable version with newer and additional patches)

but maybe one of the following links will help you for linux:
- in the German forum
or
- on Steam
